Question:
Can you boil water in a microwave for tea?

Answer:
No, do not use microwave heated water for tea! The air dissolved in water is essential to how the tea will taste. When you heat water in a microwave, even at the beverage setting, you drive out much more of the dissolved air than you would have done had you boiled the water in a pot.

The microwave heats water by these waves going in and out of the water. The waves can elevate the temperature of the liquid, but does not always boil the water. These waves can heat the water beyond the boiling point of 100 °C (212 °F) to super heated levels.

Yes yes we realize that those who knew the answer may say oh, this is not important. But spare a thought for those who did not know. I for one, did not know until I read it. So I thought of sharing it. Should you be interested in such trivia, I would love to share it in future. Thanks, e u soon…
