Isn’t it a fact that we take for granted numerous things in life? We always delude ourselves into believing that it as our birthright to have them around us, without ever bothering to feel grateful for the way they have enriched our lives. Do we really deserve them?

Have you ever closely heard the energetic and incessant chirpings of birds? Or seen butterflies in all their hues that constantly remind us that life could not be more colourful? Or ever paused while drinking water as to why this elixir of life is so sweet, so fulfilling like mother’s love? And what about our parents? Are we not taking their presence, their existence for granted? We demand that they got to be alive and around us. Always?

Does not it automatically follow that the Giver, whoever he is, is so generous, so accommodating and so caring? He has spread so much beauty around us but in our misguided pursuit for mirage of happiness, we insist on extracting filth, as we never get satisfied with whatever is easily available. In short, we fail to count our blessings. We fail to feel grateful for what we have.

    Take TEA for instance.

If you ask me if there is any drink in the world or on this planet-after water of course-which is as exhilarating and gratifying, it is undoubtedly TEA.

Yes, we refuse to acknowledge mornings without our customary cup of tea. Our heavy eyelids revolt till we take a sip from that rich body of steaming liquor. The moment the hot comforting stream of tea pours itself into our being, our body springs back to life, with shimmering morning haze being replaced by more pronounced contours of life around us. And then we have the energy to scream: Good Morning life..!!

Many tipplers may perhaps feel slighted and take exception to the status of their favorite beverage being undermined. In a desperate bid to buttress their argument they would seek to convince you that tea is an over-hyped drink and its importance is being needlessly exaggerated by vested interests.

Instead of going into irrelevant comparison between the two drinks, we would restrict ourselves to saying that tea restores sanity and lends you mental balance. Instead of fogging your mind, it offers you much-needed clarity, besides of course renewed vigor and energy. Unlike of course its counterpart that only gives delusions of all these qualities but they remain just what they are meant to be: grand delusions.

Hasn’t tea become part of our day-to-day life, seamlessly ingrained in our daily chores? Has not it become like someone who is very close to us, someone who calms and soothes our frayed nerves and fills our pores and sinews with rare vitality and energy.

    That is tea for you.

Tea has entered into our lingo, our interactions, our relationships, our culture, and our life. When we offer anyone a cup of tea, it symbolizes our extended hand for friendship. When we debate with friends over numerous cups of tea, it epitomizes never-ending bond. When we sit up till late hours over cups of tea straining our drowsy eyes into our textbooks, it means we are on our way to achieving our goals in life. With the help of tea.

    That is tea for you.

With you. Always. At every discussion, at every crossroads, at every turning point, at every making, breaking and again making of relationship. Its vapour evaporates your tears, its flavour broadens your smile, its taste straightens your drooping shoulders.

    That is tea for you.

Have a cup of tea and…

    START RELIVING YOUR LIFE..!!
