PACKING
The net weight of each chest should not exceed to 50 kgs. And the gross weight 55 kgs. If it does, the port labour may not handle the chests.
For “Boeing Bags”, the weight should be below 28kgs. But not lower than 21 kgs.
The chest net weight packed of each grade should remain the same as far as practicable. The chest net weight is often used by the buyer to gauge the density of the tea and if two breaks of the same grade is found to have different chest net weights, the lighter one is discounted.
