TEA IN CANADA - II

GLACIER-WATER TEA
(ROCKY MOUNTAIN FALLS TEA)

This tea is made with the waters from melting snow or glaciers, rushing or dripping down the rock faces of the Rocky Mountains, en route to small streams and mighty rivers. If you are from a region of Canada or a part of the world where you cannot hang a pot out with your hand and fill it up with ice-cold mountain water, you’ll have to purchase a bottle of it from a specialty store.

Make tea in the usual way b infusing a tea bag in 6-8 oz boiling mountain water for 3-5 minutes. This tea is wonderful when it is steeped outdoors over a hot fire and sipped in the cool mountain air.

MOUNTAIN CLIMBER”S TEA
On your nest mountain hike, take along flask filled with a double –strength tea. When stopping to rest by a cool waterfall or stream, take out your camper’s cup and dip it in the cool waters to chill the cup. Empty the cup. Now pour a little of the strong tea into the cup and fill it the rest of the way with the cold mountain water. This is a cool refreshing tea, the taste of which you’ll never forget.
