MINERALS IN TEA

TEA contains two minerals vital to the human body:

MANGANESE: Manganese is needed by our bodies to promote bone growth and several other developments which take place in our bodies. Among other sources, tea is one of the richest food products containing this mineral. 5-6 cups of tea daily provides us with as much as 45-50% of our daily requirement (based on an adult intake of 2000 calories).

POTASSIUM: Potassium is essential to humans in that it assists in maintaining a normal heart beat. Potassium also assists nerves and muscles to function. Further, it regulates fluid levels or balance inside of each cell. A deficiency of potassium can lead to irregular heart beat and, generally, body fatigue. 5-6 cups of tea daily can provide as much as 75% of our daily requirements (based on an adult intake of 2000 calories).

Tea also contains trace elements of other minerals which are in the ground (of the growing region in which the tea was harvested) and which have been deposited in the leaves via the systemic system.
